Courses and training

Barents Biocentre Lab will be offering courses and relevant equipment training. BB Lab has advanced LS/MS and GC/MS equipment. We plan to offer training in the use of these systems.  If needed BB Lab will also offer training related to other equipment in the lab.

Approval for use of advanced instrumentation

Barents Biocentre Lab holds a large number of different instruments, some of which are highly advanced and expensive. BB Lab will offer training on all of these instruments.

For some of the most advanced equipment the users must document experience with using the relevant instruments, or go through training at BB Lab with experienced personnel before they are allowed to work on their own.

The training can be completed by taking one of the courses offered at BB Lab that covers the relevant instruments, or by contacting BB Lab to get a specialised offer if the necessary experience is not possible to obtain through the courses. A certificate for completed training will be issued.

Health and safety

All personnel using the labs will have to go through health and safety instructions.
